Mission Statement
Traditional Photographer is a collaborative group dedicated to the promotion and
preservation of photography using traditional processes and materials. The group
recognizes the impact digital photography has had on both the commercial and the
art world. As a result, the group understands that some members choose to use digital
processes for a portion of their work, but they have chosen to focus on traditional
photography as members of this group.
Purpose
The purpose of Traditional Photographer.NET is threefold: to preserve, promote and
educate photographers about traditional methods. This site will use a number of
methods to advance the purposes of the site, to include Article, Resources geared
to the traditional photographer as well as a discussion forum. Further resources
may be developed over time.
Direction
This group’s direction is based primarily upon feedback from the membership, in
keeping with the mission of the group. Therefore, images and discussions on this
site should relate to traditional photographic processes and materials.
