Aloha,

I know that everyone here knows me, I've been around these internet forums for several years now, but I thought I would re-introduce myself for those who may come later.

I'm primarily a Large Format landscape photographer, working almost exclusively in color. Currently, I use a Toyo 45AII, however, I'm waiting on delivery of a new Chamonix 4x5. I'm not whether it will wind up being my primary camera, or whether I get a new 45AII. I also shoot a bit of 35mm, mainly for stock or travel. When I shoot 35mm, it is normally on my Nikon F6, but I also have a Nikon F5 as a backup. I'm not totally ignorant of digital, I have a Nikon D200, however, I rarely use it - I just prefer film.

I live in Kaneohe on the island of Oahu. Kaneohe is about 12 miles north east of downtown Honolulu, however, it is part of the City and County of Honolulu (as is the entire island). I've lived here for going on 10 years, prior to which I lived in Phoenix.

In addition to the photography, from which I earn very little, I'm a Senior Programmer specializing in C++, MS SQL Server and .NET languages. I'm also the primary developer for this site, so if you have any complaints, I guess I am the guy to write to. However, the Forum software is a canned product produced in the UK; I have the source code, but it will take me some time to figure out how to modify it.

Hi Robert. Yes, I recognize you from, well, uh, around!

I've been to Honolulu four times now, and drove most of the way around the island once so I probably came close to you.

Also the big island twice, and Maui for part of a day, if that even counts.

Looks like you're the Head Bartender, or whatever you call it here. Congratulations!

Next time you are on the islands, let me know. I may be able to give you some ideas for places to go and things to do.
