| I thought I would pass along some news about the Featured Photographer feature that you have no doubt seen on the front page of this website, and to solicit any feedback you may have. The current featured photographer, Richard Nelridge, graciously became our first photographer. Even though I asked Rich very late in the events leading up to the launch of this site, he quickly provided the needed image and text description. At the beginning of January you will see a new Featured Photographer on the home page. I won't say who it is other than this photographer's work will be recognized by many here - you will need to check the page on the 1st to find out. It is my intention that this feature will be a monthly one, with a change of photographers starting around the beginning of the month. This rotation will involve different photographers, with different levels of skill, different photographic focus, and different geographic locations. Currently, I have only solicited one image, but in the future those asked to be the Featured Photographer will be asked for at least 4 or 5 images to give an idea of their overall work, as well as a short biography (nothing extensive). So, the plan is to include as many people as possible. There is also a Featured Photographer page (currently listed as Featured Member) in development. From this page you will be able to see all the past Featured Photographers. I see this as one means where we can learn more about one another, and other types of photography. I hope this is a feature that you will find useful and beneficial.

Wonderful idea, and I hope to see the work of other photographers here presented in such a nice way.
One thing I think would make sense would be to have a link on every page to go all the way back to the home page where the featured photographer is. I link my bookmark directly to the forum, as that is where the area of interest is for the most part. Currently if you click 'Home' it just takes me to the root catalog of the forum again.

Photography is my insanity asylum, where I can focus on making one single thing perfect, while the rest of the world fades into the periphery.

- ThomasThanks Thomas, My plan is to finally get the site banner on all the forum pages up this coming Sunday, depending upon my workload at the office. Once that happens you will be able to move about the site much more easily.

"Fujifilm remains true to its heritage and to the acknowledged superior image quality delivered by professional photographic film products." -- Fuji Press Release An old Hasidic story says we should wear a coat with two pockets in order to receive God's message. In one pocket, the message is: "You are nothing but one of billions of grains of sand in the universe." In the other, the message is: "I made the universe just for you."
