I have been wanting to share a bunch of images I took in Utah and AZ but unfortunately they are all digital HDR images. Given the above explanation it seems I can post them in the technical gallery. When I get a chance I will do just that.

RE: Posting Images
eric rose (8/2/2008)
Ok so what is the policy regarding photos uploaded to the gallery that are created by digital cameras?
Eric,

Sorry for not responding earlier. On Saturday I go to Church and am not usually back until late in the afternoon.

The policy for the Standard and Critique gallery are that only film based images are allowed. That restriction is relaxed for the Technical gallery, where the image may be posted for the benefit of the membership. In this case, Derek and I wanted to see images of Colorado, and I didn't think to ask Rich to post them there. I have moved the images in question to the Technical gallery.

This doesn't mean that the Technical gallery is turned into a digital gallery, it is simply a just an acknowledgement that sometimes a photographer may choose to shoot digital for a reason, like not wanting to waste film, etc, and that image may benefit the membership.

I apologize to the membership of the forum for not being more clear about certain aspects of the gallery system.

RE: Posting Images

Hi Eric,

I know the issue of posting any digital images. I only posted the digital images in the gallery because I had been using both film and digital while I was in Colorado and both Robert Teague and Derek Lofgreen had requested to see the images that I printed from my trip. I saw Derek at Foto3 and I spoke with Robert many times while on my trip and after I returned home. I am sorry for upsetting the apple cart, but I did not know of any other way of posting the images.

Rich

RE: Posting Images

Ok so what is the policy regarding photos uploaded to the gallery that are created by digital cameras?

RE: Posting Images
George (12/22/2007)
So, I'll try to add a pic...
Looking forward to seeing some of your work George.

RE: Posting Images

So, I'll try to add a pic...

Posting Images

Currently we don't have a built in gallery option. In order for members to show their work, it is necessary to start a thread, in which to post them.
There are two ways to show an image; as an attachement or an external link. To use an external like, click on the "link" button on the toolbar above. For example:

http://www.visionlandscapes.com/Images/HI5264A.jpg

You may also attach an image by clicking the "Insert Image" button. For example:

Using this option, the image will automatically be resized to 650 pixels at the longest edge. Please reply to this thread if you have any questions.

Thanks,
