Glad you found us. Don't worry, even us old-timers ask questions we think are dumb - in reality, there are no dumb answers, just things we don't know. Look forward to seeing some of your work, and look forward to hearing more about where you live.

Welcome aboard,

Hello from Point Pelee

Hello folks;
This is my first post here. I have worked in the Arts all my life, but have only seriously taken up photography in the last decade. Right now, with May around the corner, I find myself in the only two months of the year that I am not intensely involved in musical theatre. Despite my hectic schedule, I manage to shoot a fair amount of film in any given week. I shoot primarily MF, using a Rolleiflex 3.5f and Bronica GS-1 (and occasionally a Holga... I couldn't resist) I do shoot a fair amount of 35mm on a Nikon N-80, for which I have a small stash of KM25 hidden in my freezer. I tend to shoot B&W about 10:1 over film, and tend to print about 10% of my images. I'm partial to printing my images in Caffenol, and have had some good results that way, even though I've been told it can't be done. (for me, that's a good enough reason to do it anyway :P )

I'm looking forward to interacting with more "traditional photographers" here on this forum. I hope you forgive my dumb questions... (I have lots...)

Cheers,
Tom, on Point Pelee, Canada
Check out my (humble) web presence at:
http://tomoverton.images.googlepages.com/
(as always... under construction)
