It was one of his rejects, but I couldn't find anything wrong with it. I've since gotten a 4x5 camera holder from him that fits my Chamonix 4x5 perfectly. Most of the time I just throw them into a Swiss Army backpack, and I don't have to worry about anything getting damaged.

RE: Photobackpacker converted backpacks for cameras.

I met Bruce a couple of years ago in Toronto. I had my RB67 gear with me and he measured everything and came up with a system that works very well.

Jorge, you're right, it's amazing how much difference a good backpack will make.

RE: Photobackpacker converted backpacks for cameras.

Hi Jorge,

I agree, Bruce makes some nice products - and, he is an all round nice guy. I'll have to drop him a note in the next day or so.

I've got a couple of his products, one that holds my 4x5 and a lens case (that is big enough for 3 lenses). I don't have the backing board, mostly because I'm trying to keep the weight down (since I have to travel by air).

Thanks for passing this along,

Photobackpacker converted backpacks for cameras.

I just got mine today and I wanted to post what a great pack this is. Bruce has come up with a great idea to carry and hike with the camera comofrtably and securely. Also, he worked with me to make a camera enclosure specific for the Arca Swiss Compact with a 15 cm carrying rail. I am attaching a pic so you can see how it all fits.

I packed everything and walked around with it for a while, it is amazing the difference this pack makes. If you like to hike with your camera, I recommend you get one of these, Bruce is very thorough, is making a quality product and will make sure you are happy with his product.
