"Three of the most consistently search-for keywords on gettyimages.com are business, people, and woman. Users are increasingly licensing lone pictures of people looking at the camera, perhaps for use in testimonials"

And a related story....

"Stock Agencies Try To Predict The Future

December 14, 2005

How much do you know about pharmaceutical ads? What colors do they use? In which countries do they run? What emotions do they convey? Do they show people in pain?

For stock imagery companies, big sums of money are riding on questions like these. The agencies employ teams of people and outside consultants to do "creative research," a process that can involve tracking sales data, customer feedback and market trends."

"Fujifilm remains true to its heritage and to the acknowledged superior image quality delivered by professional photographic film products." -- Fuji Press Release

An old Hasidic story says we should wear a coat with two pockets in order to receive God's message. In one pocket, the message is: "You are nothing but one of billions of grains of sand in the universe." In the other, the message is: "I made the universe just for you."

It's true about the healthcare industry and the difference between American and European markets. Doctors and medical professionals HATE seeing themselves portraid with surgical masks on. They just don't like it one bit. Most of the happy smiling faces we see in American ads and depictions of people are seen as too fake or happy by European standards. I know this because I work 40 hrs a week in the creative group of an international healthcare company.

That's a perfect example of how the US and European markets are vastly different in so many respects.

That interesting, because if it was a picture of me, i'd want to see myself deep in concentration doing my work, focusing an enlarger or something like that
