Hi guys. My name's Michael and I live in Geelong, Victoria. I'm currently using a Tachihara 8x10 and am working up to trying out carbon printing. I recently found out that a work colleague also uses a large format camera (Ebony 4x5) so I'll be pointing him at theis website too.

Mike

PS I wondered where you'd gone to after not seeing you on the APUG wbsite for so long Robert.

Well come. You will love carbon prints. I took a course from Sandy King and was able to see his work. Very impressive.

Hi Mike,

Welcome from Hawaii. Always good to see a familiar name, and another Aussie. I'm looking forward to seeing and hearing more about your carbon work. We do have a pretty good contingent from Australia now.

Yeah, I haven't been on APUG in awhile. Unfortunately, a number of members over there took offense with me starting this site. I still keep in touch with a few people; I spent a few hours with David Goldfarb a couple of months ago.

Glad you are here, I hope you join in and keep us informed about what type of photography you are doing.

An old Hasidic story says we should wear a coat with two pockets in order to receive God's message. In one pocket, the message is: "You are nothing but one of billions of grains of sand in the universe." In the other, the message is: "I made the universe just for you."
