Well, we are supposed to be in the rainy season. Although, it has been very dry this year (the state has been declared to be in a drought this year).

Any news on this film? Have you had a chance to use it yet, Robert?

I heard somewhere that the Ektar 100 is based on their cine films, which is likely why it was only released in 35mm format.

I've shot two rolls so far, and I'm expecting to finish the other two rolls by Sunday. The shoot I will be doing on Sunday will be to compare Ektar 100 to Velvia 100. I should have an image or two ready by the middle of next week for the first two rolls I've shot.

I think you are right about the basis of the film; I heard it was based upon their "2 electron" technology.

I've started a new thread here: Link where I'll post images taken with this new film. My first impression is very, very favorable.

Just got one of Robert's e-mail reminders that I hadn't logged in recently.

So I just saw this news about K's new Ektar 100.

I have got to try this film. It's apparently the complement to the Portra line (including scanner-friendly) and the recommended uses more meet my interests.

So what this means is that it's okay for Robert to nag me sometimes to check-in. ;-)

George

It is pretty good film, I've been quite surprised. I think you will like it, and it will make a good home in your kit.

Well, I am going to get some for an outing next week. I will be doing some more night time work. I will have to check the reciprocity of the film.

Let me know how it comes out, I'm curious. I only have a half-roll left, and I may try some as well.
