I'm quite dishearten that they have to "charge" artists to submit their work.
Shouldn't galleries, exhibitions, competitions, and especially juried ones, be paying artists for the privilege of a chance to see their work and if the artist is willing - be allowed to exhibit his work?
And if you are amongst the fortunate who can afford it ... okay.
And if you are amongst those who do not mind a "service charge", then how about something much more reasonable, like five clams.
I know ... I know everyone is going to get on their soap-box about this one, but I just get quite down about being the struggling artist all the time

I'm with you Bob. I don't know how they are working it but paying to have a submission is ridicules. I saw the first issue and was pretty disappointed. I haven't looked at the latest issue but I was unimpressed so I sort of ignore it now.
