At last! An analog photography site where I can use my real name.
I am an amateur (that is, I am a VERY amateur) photographer who's been enriching the film manufacturers for about thirty years. I have several residences including a house in upstate New York (Copake), as well as a condo in NYC and a house in Tucson, AZ.
Until a year ago I was solely a 35mm shooter - and it remains my main format. I started with, and still prefer SLRs, but I have become acquainted with RFs and enjoy their smaller size etc.
More recently I've delved into the world of MF (the race to digital has made the gear just too inexpensive to resist!) and find I'm on a new learning curve.
For 35mm, I am exclusively a Nikon user (although I mainly use a Nikon-compatible Cosina RS2 for RF work) and in SLRs use both manual and AF gear. Because I have several home locations I have gear at each. My main manual cameras are the F3HP. I also use the F5 and it's baby brother the F100 on AF.
My new endeavors in MF include a Hassey at my upstate NY location and a Bronica 6x4.5 at the house in Tucson. Presently, I am carrying a Pentax 67II b/w both. My most recent acquisition, I really prefer the Pentax "style" and may unload the other MF gear.
For a profession, I am a lawyer working in corporate finance law for a bank.
Beside photography, my other non-work interest is ham radio. That is why I am known on some sites as "copake_ham.
Regards,
George

| Hi George, Welcome aboard. I'm glad you decided to join us. Hopefully, we will grow a bit, not too big, but big enough to have some variety in topics and people. Thanks for the introduction, and I'm glad to see you stetching out a bit more with different formats.
