Hi George,

Thanks for the information. I could have sworn that I saw Herbert as I was leaving Photo Plus this past year in NYC. He did not look too healthy and he looked awfully frail. Big loss to the photo community.

Yes, I agree.

That's one person I wish I could have met. I remember his columns from the old Modern Photography way back when I was first getting interested in serious photography, and I do consider him to be a mentor.

I responded on line to one of his on-line articles last year and I did thank him for oh so many years of insight and advice. I'm glad I got to do at least that!
