Well, now that APUG is not a sponsor in the foto3 thing, anybody entering the contest? I am thinking of submitting a few pieces. I lived in Houston and frequently visited the Houston Museum of Fine Arts and they have a very nice photography collection, Ann Tucker is very good and the best thing is that she is not stuck up, heck, the Museum even buys photographs from E bay! I don't know the other judge, but I guess it is worth a shot....what do you say?

I wasn't planning on entering anything, simply because I haven't had the time to prepare anything. I've been so hammered with work the past three months, that I've barely had time to do anything.

In addition to APUG, I hear Calumet also pulled its sponsorship. Looks like View Camera will be carrying this one alone.

Just enter any of your old shots, it is what I am going to do since I don't have anything new that would be worth sending.

Yeah, it seems there was trouble in paradise, most likely a money matter. Since Simmons mentioned that VC has always been financially responsible for the conference I am betting they must have had a tiff over sharing the revenues or maybe the APUG owner wanted to have his plane and stay covered or some such thing...who cares? I normally don't enter contests since I really don't care what some schmuck thinks about my pics, but Tucker is a worthwhile judge.

I had thought about entering the contest, but I don't have a darkroom for a while and I don't have anything that would be ready to go.
